Funnel Blower
Funnel Blower - A dark brown porter contrasting the bitterness of roasted barley and malts with a subtle vanilla sweetness.
The largest ship the world had ever seen, Isambard Kingdom Brunel's Great Eastern began her sea trials on 7th September 1859. Two days later, as she cruised off the English coast, a huge explosion blew off one of her five funnels.
The blast, that would have sent a lesser vesssel to the bottom, barely checked the great ship's progress. In contrast to the careful way we brew this vanilla infused beer, the on-board calamity was found to have been caused by a build up of excess steam.
